The Hudson Valley is located between New York City and Albany, New York, is accessible by highway and the MetroNorth and Amtrak rail lines, and is within driving distance of all the major New York City airports (Kennedy, LaGuardia, Newark) as well as White Plains, Newburgh, and Albany airports, so there is lots of flexibility to be had.
